ImageIf someone you care about is struggling with addiction it may seem like there is nothing you can do.  But there is something you can do.  The old adage that an addict has to help themselves and there is nothing anyone can do is simply not true.  We now know that addicts do not have to hit the old "bottom" that was defined as losing everything decades ago.  Yes, addicts have to hit a bottom, but we can raise that bottom up.  If you love and care for someone who is struggling, please don't give up.  You can help them without enabling them and without destroying your own life.  How?  It is called education.

By exploring our site you will find information and links to other resources where you can find help for yourself.  Addiction affects all involved - the addict, the family, the friends, the coworkers and the emplorer.  You must seek professional  help for yourself.  By doing this, you will not only learn how to deal with these issues yourself, but you will learn how to more effectively help the one with the problem.  We would like to encourage you to participate in our forums.  There is a forum group set up just for those in your position.  Good luck and God Bless.
