suspension - 2008/08/14 17:55 Hello! Im currently a RN in Pennsylvania and have been in their voluntary recovery program for the last year. I relapsed a little while back and had to take a urine screen today that quite frankly will have to take a Devine act to pass. Im pretty sure this will be the end of the road for me as the state and my employer have been very patient and supportive the last year. My question is, once having been suspended, and it seems 3 years is the standard suspension, is it possible to be reinstated? Thank You Michael W Lindsey

Re:suspension - 2008/08/27 11:16 Michael,

Don't right yourself off so quickly. If they do suspend you it is not the end of the road. Many nurses relapse... its almost expected. Just keep doing the right thing day by day. Take care of yourself and the whole nursing thing will take care of itself in its own time.
